Tasty Thursday

Thanks to my new friend Nykki I am linking up with The How-To Mommy to do a Tasty Thursday post! Today I am going to share with you one of my go-to-easiest-recipes-you've-ever-met-crock-pot favorites (world's longest adjective?)!

I make this a lot, and it is one of Hubby's and my favorites! It is super easy and everyone who tries it raves about the deliciousness. I love that I can simply add a green salad or veggie and voila! Dinner? It's done.

Today, via Pinterest, I bring you Betty Crocker's Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff.

 Ingredients:
  1. 2 lbs of beef stew meat
  2. 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  3. 1 can cream of onion soup
  4. 1 jar sliced mushrooms drained
  5. 1/4 tsp of black pepper
  6. 8 ounces of cream cheese
  7. 8 ounces of sour cream
  8. 6 cups hot cooked noodles or rice
Method:
  1. Dump stew meat, soups, mushrooms and pepper into crock pot.
  2. Stir until the meat is all coated and everything is nicely combined
  3. Cook on low 8-10 hours until beef is very tender.
  4. Mix in cream cheese.
  5. Mix in sour cream.
  6. Let re-heat as needed.
  7. Serve over hot noodles or rice.
I do change a few things because I cannot leave well enough alone in the kitchen. I add about 1/4 tsp garlic powder and 2 beef bullion cubes. I also omit the cream cheese, because we don't feel like the sauce really needs it, and the one time we tried it, the cream cheese wouldn't smooth out all the way so we had lumps in our sauce. :(

Go! Right now! Try this today!
