Layered Oreo Dessert #Recipe

A million years ago I used to work at Limited TOO. Every year on Black Friday we would order pizza, everyone would bring something to share, and we'd have a fun all day long potluck in the backroom so none of us had to brave the insanity of the food court during our breaks. One year someone brought this dish in and it was so tasty! I've not made it since, but this weekend I got the hankering so I made it not once but twice! Soooo yummy y'all! It comes together in about ten minutes, and you will receive rave reviews! If you are looking for the perfect dessert to bring to a potluck, picnic or party look no further than this layered oreo dessert!

What You Need:
  • Chocolate sandwich cookies. I used forty two cookies for the layering and the topping. I'm also cheap so I totally bought the store brand.
  • 2 tubs of frozen whipped topping, thawed.
  • milk, enough to fill a small bowl about two inches
  • chocolate jimmies or toppings of your choice
What You Need to Do:
  • Spread a small thin amount of whipped cream on the bottom of a pyrex dish
  • One by one dip the chocolate cookies into a small bowl of milk allowing the excess to drip off. Layer one layer of cookies all over the bottom. Cut the cookies in half if you need to in order to fully cover the bottom.
  • Spread a thick layer of whipped topping over the cookies.
  • Repeat a second layer of cookies.
  • Cover with the rest of the whipped topping.
  • In a small zip lock bag place 4-5 cookies and crush using a rolling pin.
  • Sprinkle about half the crushed cookies on top, reserving the other half.
  • Top with chocolate topping of your choice. I used jimmies - but hot fudge would be great too!
  • Refrigerate as long as possible. Overnight is best, but I've had it after only a few hours and it is good then too!
  • Just before serving sprinkle additional cookie pieces on top.
