If you know me at all you know how adamant I am about celebrating holidays one at a time in their proper order. First comes Halloween, then comes Thanksgiving and then (and only then) comes Christmas. Christmas baking, Santa Claus, Elf on the Shelf, Christmas Cards and Christmas crafting, the list goes on and on and I can't wait! This year it hasn't been easy to stick to my guns because Thanksgiving falls so late in the month leaving us with a much smaller window for Christmas activities.
My determination hasn't stopped me from running around Pinterest and pinning all the Christmas ideas to my Christmas board! I think this year we are going to do salt-dough reindeer instead of Santas using Evie's footprints!
I am also loving this idea for a Scratch Off Activity Advent Calendar. How fun is it to scratch off a new activity every day? I think it is a great idea to keep the Holiday activities from getting too overwhelming and to make sure that you stay on track with getting them done!

There's sure to be lots of baking and cooking going on! I think this year I am going to let Evie help with making and canning apple butter. I'll also let her have a hand in candy making and bread making! She's turning into a little kitchen whiz and this momma loves it!
I am also looking forward to the annual over analyzing of the all important Christmas card! This year I am loving the designs from Minted. They are so cute and different than others that I have seen, plus the paper is great quality. I am currently debating between these two Minted cards! I think I am leaning towards the second but I also love the first one! Decisions, y'all!

We've also decided that this year Elf on the Shelf will make a stop at our house. I assure you though, our elf will not be engaging in any ridiculously elaborate shenanigans!
What about y'all? Have you started decorating for Christmas yet or are you like me, determined to respect the bird?
